On Saturday, August 9, 2008, Trinity hosted a "Dress for School Success" event that provided back-to-school clothes at nominal cost to children in Alton. Almost 100 bags of clothing were distributed. The event was organized with the support and generosity of several ELCA congregations of the Metro-East area.
On Saturday, October 18, Trinity hosted a fish fry to benefit Oasis Women's Shelter in Alton. The event, with a matching grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, raised almost $900 for Oasis! Thanks to all the Trinity members and Oasis workers who helped make the event such a success.
